Each November and December, the Minto Arts Council hosts its Annual Holiday Silent Auction – a festive fundraiser that brings together art lovers, gift hunters, and community champions for a great cause.
Whether you're looking for a one-of-a-kind piece of art, unique home decor, local experiences, or holiday treats, this is your chance to support local arts initiatives and score a great deal.
A Key Fundraiser for Local Arts’ initiatives
Our annual Holiday Silent Auction is a seasonal tradition and a vital fundraiser that helps sustain the Minto Arts Council’s year-round programming. This event is made possible yearly by generous donations from private individuals and commercial sponsors. Like us, they believe in the importance of free access to art.

Exhibitions at the Minto Arts Gallery
Student art awards and programming
Big Film Fest screenings
Artist calls, community events, and more
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and bidders, this event provides a meaningful boost to our operating funds at the time of year when we need it most.
how bidding works
Online Bidding
Online Bidding is available via our website (details will be available in November).
When you place a bid on online items, you’ll receive a confirmation email. When someone outbid you, you’ll also get an email notification. That way, you will stay informed throughout the bidding process.
On the last day of the auction, you will receive an email confirming your successful Holiday Silent Auction purchase.
In-Person Bidding
For in-house items, visit the gallery to register and receive a bidder number. If you’ve already registered online, use the #” assigned to you. You can then place bids on items you’re interested in.
A member of the Minto Arts Council will contact you to confirm your successful Holiday Silent Auction purchase.
