A Place for Art in the Heart of Minto

ABOUT THE MINTO ARTS GALLERY

Located on the third floor of the Harriston Public Library, the Minto Arts Gallery is a welcoming space dedicated to showcasing the work of local, regional, and emerging artists.

A Gallery For All

As one of the only public art galleries in Wellington County, the Minto Arts Gallery serves as a cultural hub in midwestern Ontario, featuring artists from Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph to Georgian Bay.

In rural Ontario, access to high-quality visual arts spaces is limited. Artists often travel long distances to find venues that support their work, and community members don’t always have the opportunity to experience contemporary art close to home.

The Minto Arts Gallery fills this gap by offering a professional, accessible, and community-centered exhibition space. We curate a diverse calendar of exhibitions that highlight artistic talent in all its forms, from painting and mixed media to photography, sculpture, and textile arts.

Whether you’re an art lover, a weekend visitor, or an artist yourself, the Minto Arts Gallery is a place to gather, reflect, and be inspired.

“The Minto Arts Council Art Gallery is a precious gem at a time when Ontario artists struggle to find gallery space.

The gallery is well lit and professionally managed by a friendly and accommodating group of volunteers who care about what they do.

I have held personal exhibitions with family members and group exhibitions with the Central Ontario Art Association and been extremely happy with the support  MAC and the community provided.”

– Anne Williamson, Artist & Art Instructor / President, Central Ontario Art Association
