MINTO ARTS COUNCIL COVID-19 UPDATE

TheBoard of the Minto Arts Council acknowledges the unique challenges ofthe artistic community in dealing with the COVID-19 situation. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our artists, volunteers, patrons and supporters.  We will do our best tosupport the artistic community.

Wehave made some difficult decisions concerning our spring schedule ofexhibitions.  The current “Multidimensional Transmutation”show by Dana Savard will either continue when we re-open or bere-scheduled to a later date.  The “Changing Face ofPhotography” show set for April 2 – 25thwill be postponed.  The June 2 -20thStudent Art Show is cancelled.

TheJuried Art Show was scheduled for May 7 – 30th. If able, we intend to move this show to June.  If this is notpossible, this year’s edition of the show will be cancelled. We will be communicating with the artists and with the jurors in thisregard, and will make any further decisions regarding this show knownas soon as possible.

TheAnnual General Meeting previously set for March 30, 2020 will bepostponed to a later date.

Theseactions disappoint us all but it is the responsible path to take inview of current information.  The situation will be reviewedagain by mid-May at the latest and we will communicate with you thenor earlier if things change. At this time we would like to thank allof you for your continued support and patronage of the arts in yourcommunity. We look forward to bringing new shows to our community inthe future.
