Minto Arts Council Opens Gallery Shop
Deputy Mayor Terry Fisks joins the Minto Arts Council and local artists in opening te "Gallery Shop". This is a pilot project that will run until November 2nd. Local artists are selling their work and profits are shared between the artists and the Arts Council. Stop by for that unique gift!
Congratulations Wesley Bates, Minto Arts Council President
The Summer Folk Music and Arts Festival 2013 Juried exhibition awarded Wesley Bates the BEST IN SHOW for his multi-colour wood engraving ELEMENTAL GARDEN. Summer Folk is an annual August festival in Owen Sound show casing musician from across Canada and abroad. The Artisan's village is a major part of the festival. This was Wesley's first year as an exhibitor.

2013 Minto Arts Council Bursary
Congratulations to Norwell District Secondary graduate Reilley Schneider on receiving a $250 bursary from the Minto Arts Council.
We would like to recognize the contributions of Maxine Heise who has recently passed away. Maxine was a member and volunteer with the Minto Arts Council since its inception and will be greatly missed by all who knew her, including the Minto Arts Council and the community.
"Open for Business"
The Minto Arts Council in partnership with the Harriston Historical Society recently purchased a new "Open" sign to ensure patrons know that the Gallery is open. If you are volunteering in the Gallery please be sure to turn the sign on and for those planning a visit to the Gallery just look for the "Open" sign in the windows by the staircase.
